Kluntje is a variety of candy or rock sugar commonly used as a beverage sweetener in Germany. We offer this stone candy in white form. Kluntjes come in several different forms, including single large crystals, several smaller, linked crystals, and the like.
Although kluntjes are traditionally used as a sweetener for tea, especially in East Frisia, they can also be used to sweeten a variety of other beverages. It is an integral part of the East Frisian tea culture (Ostfriesland, Germany), which is inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Kluntjes crystals are very effective and pleasant to look at.
